Policies & Procedures

Effective date: November 1, 2026

This page explains how Brown Credit Consultation works with clients, from the first contact to the end of service.

1. Free consultation

You request a consultation through our website form.

We contact you by email and phone to confirm, and you choose a time on our booking calendar.

On the 15-minute call, we review your goals and explain our services and fees. There is no cost and no obligation to sign up.

2. Enrollment

Before any agreement is signed, we give you a separate written statement of your consumer credit file rights under state and federal law.

You review and sign our written client agreement, which lists the services, total fees and estimated timeframe.

You receive a Notice of Cancellation form. You may cancel within 5 business days of signing without penalty.

Work begins after you have completed onboarding, which includes setting up your SmartCredit monitoring account, our team confirming it is active, and providing your identification documents.

3. How the dispute process works

We review your credit reports with you to identify items you believe are inaccurate, incomplete or unverifiable.

We prepare dispute letters based only on information you confirm is accurate.

Disputes are sent to the credit bureaus and, where appropriate, to creditors. Bureaus generally have 30 days to investigate a dispute, though some cases take longer.

We review the results with you and plan the next round where appropriate.

We do not dispute information we know to be accurate, and we never ask clients to make false statements.

4. Billing

We do not charge for any credit repair service before it has been fully performed. Fees and billing dates are set out in your signed client agreement.

Your first fee is charged only after your first month of services has been performed. After that, your monthly fee is charged for each following month of service. Exact amounts are listed in your client agreement.

5. Communication

We communicate mainly by email and phone.

Calls may be placed or answered by an AI-assisted scheduling assistant. It will tell you it is an AI assistant, and you can ask to speak with a person at any time.

You can ask us to stop calling at any time. We honor opt-out requests promptly.

We aim to respond to messages promptly during regular business hours.

6. Appointments

Please join calls on time. If you need to reschedule, use the link in your confirmation email or contact us as early as possible.

If you miss a consultation, we may contact you once to rebook.

7. Client documents and information

We only ask for the documents needed to verify your identity and handle your disputes.

Your documents are stored securely and accessed only by authorized staff.

We keep client records, including signed agreements and disclosure acknowledgments, for as long as required by law, and at least 2 years for signed disclosure acknowledgments.

8. Cancellation

You may cancel within 5 business days of signing your agreement without penalty or obligation.

After that, you may cancel at any time by written notice to [email protected].

You will not be charged for work that has not been performed.

9. Complaints

If you are unhappy with our service, please contact us at [email protected] with your name and a description of the issue. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and work with you to resolve it.

You also have the right to contact the Federal Trade Commission or your state Attorney General about any credit repair organization.
